More than a quarter of a century ago, the construction industry demanded an efficient, cost-effective and flexible solution for the vertical transport of materials and passengers on construction sites. Conventional material hoists were already established in the market, but of course transporting passengers was strictly prohibited at the time. GEDA GmbH addressed this demand and developed GEDA transport platform as a pioneer. Still successful to this day, it became the company's prestige product and is associated with the medium-sized manufacturer of construction and industrial hoists all over the world. As a true all-rounder, the GEDA transport platforms can transport materials as well as passengers. When the operator selects "Transport platform" mode with the separate control unit, the lifting speed is reduced to ensure safe passenger transport. To honour this legend among construction hoists, the company would like to celebrate this anniversary and present an overview on the history of transport platforms.

2022 - GEDA 2500 Z/ZP
The GEDA 2500 Z/ZP transport platform is the new powerhouse from GEDA. Thanks to the innovative GEDA SVARIO-MAST system, the transport platform is guided on only one mast and has a load capacity of 2500 kg.
2021 - GEDA 1500 Z/ZP F
And the success story continues ... One might think that GEDA has developed a transport platform for any situation. But what if anchorings are not possible? Of course there is a solution for that as well. As a freestanding transport platform, the GEDA 1500 Z/ZP F expands the extensive range further by an anchor-free variant.
2016 - GEDA 3700 Z/ZP
Plenty of power came into play that year. The new GEDA 3700 Z/ZP transport platform was presented at the bauma world fair. GEDA has since been offering a device that fully meets the market requirements for higher load capacities and larger platforms. Even the biggest tasks are now no longer a problem for the transport platform family.
2013 - GEDA 500 Z/ZP PLATFORM SL
Why have the GEDA transport platforms been able to persist in the market so successfully for 25 years? One key factor is the maximum flexibility of the devices. Each construction site has its own challenges. Different platform versions therefore allow for optimum adaptation of the GEDA 500 Z/ZP to the requirements on site. Another milestone was the presentation of the SL platform with larger dimensions that made it especially fit for the transportof more bulky materials, such as plaster boards.
2008 - GEDA 300 Z/ZP
On the Predigtstuhlbahn in Bad-Reichenhall, on the St. Michael monastery in Bamberg or on Mainz Cathedral: This transport platform mastered all tasks on countless buildings. The "little brother" of the family should not be underestimated and is worth its weight in gold - especially in reduced space conditions thanks to its foldable platform and the compact design.
2005 - PERMANENT TRANSPORT PLATFORMS
In 2005, the day finally arrived: The long requested transport platform for permanent installation was launched. The previously "green temporary series" was expanded with another "yellow permanent member" and can be used in a variety of different industrial operations. The first application was on an asphalt mixingplant, where the permanent transport platform was able to directly demonstrate that it can withstand even the toughest weather conditions.
2000 - GEDA ERA 1200 Z/ZP & 1500 Z/ZP
With the start of the new millennium, a few things happened at GEDA as well. The construction hoist division of Ebbs & Radinger in Vienna was taken over, allowing GEDA to tap into new market segments. GEDA ERA 1200 Z/ZP and GEDA 1500 Z/ZP became the newest members of the transport platform family. Featuring the transport platform control system, people and goods could be transported easily while making it possible to use the same device as a construction hoist, too.
1999 - GEDA 500 Z/ZP
The great added value of the transport platforms is evident - the ability to transport passengers and materials. In this year, not only the product name of the transport platform changed, but a unique selling point was implemented as well: the re-designed control unit made switching between a transport platform and a regular construction hoist easy as pie.
1998 - GEDA 500 ZP & 1500 ZP
Just one year later, the next transport platforms were presented at bauma. The expectations were high, and they were fulfilled on a showpiece project directly on the German house of parliament in Berlin. An in-person meeting between today's CEO Johann Sailer, Head of Sales Josef Hafner and then Member of the Parliament Hans Raidel sealed the deal.
1997 - GEDA 1200 ZP
The first transport platform was commissioned at the "Airport Center" construction site in Dresden and was an instant success. This is where the success story began with the GEDA 1200 and a legend was born: cost effective, easy to handle and strong in capacity - fully capable to transport people and material.
